Why does this always happen? I know I’m not alone in this phenemenon. You write (or draw) something which at the time seems perfect, but with a second look suddenly becomes complete and utter rubbish to your eyes. Or, even worse, the tenth look, after you’ve already shown it to a bunch of people and talked about how proud you are of it.

You could take this strip as a metaphor for my work on Elwood. At most points throughout the archive I’ve felt I’ve been doing good work (both in terms of art and writing) but looking back at my old stuff now makes me cringe so much. The flip side of this of course is that I can hardly wait to see what Future Mark comes up with! Can you? Will you join us then?
